Student Inclusion Lead job summary

Aureus School has a fantastic opportunity for an impactful Student Inclusion Lead to join our highly collaborative Inclusion Team. You will play a key role in supporting students with SEND through a balanced offer of high‑quality in‑class support, targeted interventions and the coordinated tracking of provision across pastoral, attendance and SEND.

Your Opportunity

As Student Inclusion Lead, you will be a central link between the SENDCo, Pastoral and Attendance teams, helping to secure great outcomes for our learners. You will contribute to the development of inclusion policy, review provision, and strengthen staff expertise in secondary SEND practice. This role is ideal for someone who champions our vision of helping every student build hope, aspiration and ambition for their future adult lives.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience of working in a similar SEND or inclusion role
• Confidence working collaboratively across SEND, pastoral and attendance to deliver high‑quality in‑class support, small‑group and 1:1 interventions
• A highly motivated individual with resilience, stamina and reliability under pressure
• Someone who inspires, motivates and thrives when working in challenging circumstances
• Strong ability to liaise with external agencies (e.g. Educational Psychologists, SALT, CAMHS, Local Authority SEND teams, BIO) to coordinate assessments, advice and provision
• Commitment to supporting walkabout and refocus routines, modelling calm, consistent behaviour expectations
• Accuracy in tracking interventions and external specialist provision to support costed provision maps and strategic SEND planning

The Details

Start Date: 30th November 2026

Salary: GLF Specialist point 1 £28,009 FTE (actual £25,099)

Contract: Full-time 37.5 hours per week, permanent, Term Time (39 weeks)

Closing Date: 13th October at 9.30am

Interview Date: w/c 19th October
