Supervision Room Manager job summary
We are looking for a highly organised and calm Supervision Room Manager to uphold our school’s high behaviour expectations and maintain a structured, disciplined environment. The successful candidate will ensure students follow routines, complete curriculum‑aligned work, and stay focused throughout their time in Isolation. They will support students to reflect on their behaviour, reinforce positive habits, and prepare them for a successful return to lessons. Working closely with the pastoral team, they will monitor student behaviour and engagement, lead reintegration conversations, and contribute to wider behaviour planning. The role also requires clear record keeping, professional communication with staff and families, and a commitment to modelling consistent, high‑expectations behaviour across the school.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- The ability to engage positively and build working relationships with a wide range of young people and their families
- The ability to encourage positive and respectful student behaviour
- An awareness of de-escalation procedures and positive behaviour management strategies
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team with teaching and pastoral staff as well as outside agencies
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication and presentation skills
- A willingness to manage their own time effectively, work flexibly, and use their own initiative
