TA3 (MFL Lead) job summary

A truly exciting opportunity has arisen to join our incredibly supportive and committed team. We wish to appoint a dynamic, motivated and skilled TA3 with a passion for Modern Foreign Languages (MFL). Our school is on a journey of continuous improvement and we are keen to recruit an individual who is passionate about supporting our children to learn, inspiring curiosity and a love of languages.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality language teaching and learning experiences to children in small groups and classes from Nursery through to Year 6. The postholder will be the Subject Lead for MFL within the school and will play a key role in developing and enhancing our MFL curriculum—focusing on its implementation, progression, and impact—alongside a member of our Senior Leadership Team.

The role will involve delivering engaging and interactive MFL sessions, promoting cultural awareness, and helping to embed language learning across the curriculum. It would be advantageous if the candidate is fluent in or has strong proficiency in Spanish and is confident in using creative approaches to inspire pupils’ enthusiasm and confidence in speaking and understanding another language.

Our children enjoy celebrating languages and cultures through themed days, assemblies, and wider community events. All of our staff are ambitious for our young people and are driven to ensure that they receive the very best education possible, in a calm and nurturing environment. We are leaving no stone unturned to raise standards across our school, as we strive to provide our pupils with the experiences and outcomes they deserve.

We welcome applications from highly motivated and enthusiastic practitioners who are eager to be part of our exciting journey and to lead the development of MFL across our school.

This position is part time (20 hrs), term time only plus one week and fixed term until 31st August 2026 (to be reviewed). Working hours are Tuesday, Wednesday 8.00am - 4.30pm and Thursday 8.00am - 12.30pm.
