Teacher and Music Lead job summary
We are seeking to appoint a Class Teacher to work at The Mendip School, a school for children aged 4-19 with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and Speech Language and Communication Needs.
There is potential for a TLR with this role for subject (music) responsibility for across the school.
Applicants from specialist or mainstream settings are encouraged. The position will be an excellent opportunity for colleagues looking for a new challenge in their teaching career.

The Mendip School is part of the multi-academy trust partnership known as The Partnership Trust. This status allows the school to be more autonomous and to focus on initiatives that raise aspiration and achievement for children and young people.
The Mendip School staff and governors are committed to and passionate about the learning and progress of our pupils. We have high aspirations for our young people and we aim to provide a high quality, relevant and balanced education for all our pupils that focuses on individual, personal and academic achievement. Students are taught in small groups, usually with more than one member of staff in attendance. There is a happy and positive atmosphere in which young people can fulfill their potential and grow in self-confidence with respect for the people and environment around them.
We would welcome applications from people who may currently be working in mainstream schools as full training and support programmes are offered to those who have limited experience of working in a special school.
