What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an experienced teacher to join our EYFS team. The successful candidate will:
- Teach a class of mixed Pre-school and Reception children.
- Maintain a high-quality, stimulating, and enabling learning environment to promote children’s best start in EYFS.
- Demonstrate strong subject and curriculum knowledge.
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons aligned with the EYFS framework to meet the needs of all pupils.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create engaging indoor and outdoor learning environment to promote progress towards the seven areas of learning.
- Use observation, assessment and feedback effectively to inform next steps and ensure strong progress for all pupils
- Promote positive behaviour and ensure a safe, supportive learning environment.In conjunction with our Forest School Leader, ensure pre-school and reception children have opportunities to experience outdoor learning and under their direction, Forest School, to ensure all pupils benefit and access sessions.Contribute to whole-school initiatives and strategic priorities for school improvement in line with the School Development Plan.Uphold our school values and motto: “Shaping Bright Futures Together.”Build strong relationships with parents, carers, colleagues, and external agencies.Have experience of using the Little Wandle phonics scheme.
