NOWER HILL HIGH SCHOOL ‘An outstanding school’ 11-18 Roll: 2020 (1620 + 400 in an A level 6th Form) TEACHER OF CITIZENSHIP (Outer London pay scale - TLR available for the right candidate) September 2022 start. We require an enthusiastic and committed Citizenship teacher, to deliver Citizenship as part of our Social and Economic Studies Faculty. Applications from both experienced and newly qualified teachers would be warmly welcomed; an ability to teach either Law or Sociology at A level would be advantageous. For the right candidate, we will offer additional responsibilities within the department to support the delivery of the RSE statutory guidance across all Key Stages. ECTs can join us for three weeks’ paid induction in July. We offer: ● An outstanding Citizenship department with well-established Core Citizenship lessons that are taught weekly to all students in KS3 and KS4 alongside GCSE Citizenship as an option subject in KS4. ● A strong and successful Social and Economic Studies Faculty. ● A school culture which nurtures and develops staff ● An oversubscribed school with high standards and high expectations ● Students who are a pleasure to teach ● Superb facilities.
