What skills and experience we're looking for
-
We are looking for a strong practitioner who is
confident and skilled in working with learners who have SEMH needs
- Honours degree or equivalent
- Qualified Teacher Status preferable, but not essential
- Experience of working with vulnerable pupils in a mainstream school, preferred
- Qualification in art / DT
- Good understanding of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum for Art and Design Technology
- Good knowledge of DT machinery
- Good knowledge of health and safety, COSHH and risk assessments
- Good understanding of working with pupils with SEN / medical or behaviour needs
- Ability to assess to inform learning
- Be aspirational
- Be well organised and planned
- Have emotional resilience to remain calm under pressure
- Be empathetic
- Be a team player
