Teacher of IT (Temporary) job summary
The Dean Trust is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic IT Teacher to join our dedicated team at Abraham Moss Community School, Crescent Road, Crumpsall, Manchester, M8 5UF.
The core purpose of the role will be to teach Computer Science throughout the school, working as a member of the Computer Science team under the direction of the Subject Leader teaching key stages 3 and 4. This is a temporary position until 31 August 2026.
Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with the IT team in all professional matters to develop schemes of work that are differentiated, to ensure that there are effective teaching strategies to give access to the curriculum for all pupils, to monitor and improve the quality of teaching and learning, and to set targets and plan for improvement, development and enrichment.
- Undertake appropriate pastoral and tutorial roles including being a tutor / partner tutor and teaching PSHE.
- Share in the general responsibility for the academic, social, personal and cultural development of pupils.
- Take responsibility for relevant organisational and administrative tasks related to your work and carry out tasks efficiently and within the deadlines set
- To contribute to the planning and delivery of wider curricular activities.
