What skills and experience we're looking for

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and ambitious teacher of maths to join our growing department at a pivotal time in its development. We are looking for someone who shares our high expectations and determination to make a difference, bringing mathematics to life through inspiring, engaging teaching. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team, helping students build confidence, develop a love of mathematics and achieve more than they ever thought possible.

Working within the school’s curriculum and schemes of work, you will plan and deliver lessons that challenge, motivate and enable every student to achieve their best.

Our successful candidate will have the following experience, skillset and qualifications:

§ Commitment to improving student learning and raising achievement

§ Enthusiasm to inspire in students a desire to learn and participate

§ A willingness to get involved in the department’s extra-curricular offer

§ Commitment to professional development and continual improvement

§ Honours degree

§ DfE recognised Qualified Teacher Status

The post is full-time and permanent from 1 September 2027 and is suitable for both experienced and Early Career teachers. This role reports to the head of maths.

What the school offers its staff

Why join us?

We recognise that successful people place value on the range of benefits associated with their careers. As your future employer we place value on these too, that is why we are proud to offer:

  • Access to the Teachers’ Pensions Scheme
  • Automatic pay progression for those on our main, upper and support staff pay ranges
  • 7 training days calendared with a view to alleviate pressure at key times in the year, with a training day in December dedicated to marking mock exams
  • Access to a range of paid special leave provisions to help with life’s emergencies, unpredictable events and significant occasions.
  • Access to a bank of pre-planned teaching resources. You need to intellectually prepare for lessons rather than plan from scratch.
  • Salary sacrifice cycle to work scheme
  • Recommend a Friend Scheme available for some of our hard to fill roles
  • Healthcare benefits including free eye test vouchers for DSE users and flu vaccinations
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Access to shopping and lifestyle discounts
