• Post 1: Teaching Assistant (Temporary for the remainder of the academic year, pending a review of the needs of the school 20 hours pw)
• Post 2: 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with an EHCP (17.5hrs pw)

We are recruiting two Teaching Assistants. We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic individuals who aspire to be outstanding Teaching Assistants and beyond.

One successful candidate will work for 20 hours per week based in our Year 5/6 Class, starting as soon as possible including 2 afternoons per week to support children with emotional difficulties.

The other successful candidate will work 17.5 hours per week supporting a child our Year 5/6 Class with an EHCP, starting as soon as possible

Here you’ll:
• Work closely with our teaching staff to create irresistible opportunities for learning so that all of our pupils can be successful, confident and caring.

What we’re looking for:
As a successful candidate you will be passionate about developing children’s learning and have very high expectations of pupils.
You will have previous experience of working within a primary school (ideally in upper KS2)
You will have previous experience or an interest in supporting children with emotional difficulties.
For the EHCP post, you will have previous experience of supporting children with SEND.
Your own skills and knowledge will be developed to enable you to provide support and challenge to children of all abilities.
You will be a creative, reflective practitioner who is adept at identifying misconceptions and other barriers to learning, including those related to personal and social development, and working to overcome these.
You will be flexible and would be able to work additional hours if needed and want to enter fully into the wider life of our successful, confident and caring village school.
