Sidbury Church of England Primary School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate who can:

Be reliable, enthusiastic and a good communicator Demonstrate you have the relevant skills, training and experience to make a positive difference Work collaboratively with staff in the whole curriculum planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources Has experience of working with children with special educational needs, including social, emotional and mental health needs Can inspire and motivate children and enable them to be the best that they can be Be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given solutions with integrity and compassion

It is a highly rewarding position within a supportive team, where you can gain new skills and make a real difference to the education of our children.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, and be able to undertake work, care and support programmes as directed by the class teacher and SENDCo. For part of the role, you may be required to work alongside pupils with complex special educational needs in 1:1 or small group work.

Sidbury C of E Primary is a member of the Ventrus Multi Academy Trust, a group of Devon schools who actively work together to ensure the delivery of a curriculum which meets the needs of all pupils and provides opportunities that are broad and challenging. You would be joining a team of positive colleagues within the school and Trust that are committed to improving outcomes for all pupils.

This is a fixed term position for one year working 31.25 hours per week. (8.45-3.30pm), 39 weeks per year.
