What skills and experience we're looking for
Bridgwater College Academy are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support the learning in the Secondary classrooms, working Monday to Friday.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and participating in learning activities.
- Promote independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual education and behaviour plans.
- Provide feedback to pupils and contribute to progress records.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- Support the use of ICT and help prepare resources for lessons.
- Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Have a good level of literacy and numeracy (GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths).
- Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) or have equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate strong communication and ICT skills.
- Are confident, well-organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Have experience working with children in an educational setting.
