Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisor

Contract: Fixed Term until August 2026

Hours: 32.5 hours (27.5 hours as a Teaching Assistant, 5 hours as a Midday Supervisor)

Working pattern: 8.45am – 3.45pm Monday to Friday

Salary: £19,366 - £20,517 per annum

Site: Upwood PrimaryAcademy

Closing date: 9am on Tuesday 24th June

Your role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside teachers to support pupils of all abilities, including those with special educational needs. You’ll help deliver learning activities, encourage independence, and contribute to a positive, engaging environment. At lunchtime, you’ll ensure pupils are safe, happy, and well-supervised—whether in the dining hall, playground, or indoors—promoting good behaviour, social skills, and fun.

We’re looking for someone with strong communication and behaviour management skills, a good understanding of child development, and a flexible, team-focused approach. Experience working with children, especially those with SEN, is highly valued.
