Lakenham Primary and Nursery School is excited to invite applications for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Outstanding (Ofsted) provision. As our Early Years setting continues to grow in popularity, we are seeking someone who is passionate about supporting young children and committed to making a positive difference. 

This role may be based within EYFS or within our SEND Specialist Room, supporting autistic, predominantly nonverbal children. We welcome applicants with confidence and experience in either setting. 


What We’re Looking For 

We are seeking a warm, professional, and adaptable individual who: 

  • Communicates effectively with both children and adults 
  • Brings a caring, childcentred approach 
  • Is reliable, wellorganised, and demonstrates excellent timekeeping 
  • Has a positive attitude and a good sense of humour 
  • Holds strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Grade C or equivalent) 
  • Is a graduate or an experienced Teaching Assistant (preferred) 
  • Understands the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum 
  • Can support children’s progress through highquality interactions and a nurturing presence 
  • Has experience working within continuous provision (highly desirable)
