has experience of working with children in a primary school setting
be flexible and can use their own initiative
work independently and as part of a team
be willing to undertake a range of duties
be resilient, hardworking and self-motivated
manage change well and support pupils in a variety of situations
have high expectations of children’s behaviour and achievements
have excellent English and mathematics skills
possess initiative and the ability to communicate well with both teaching staff and pupils
have a good sense of humour!

Ixworth Church of England Primary School is seeking an outstanding Teaching Assistant to join our warm, caring and dynamic team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed and motivated Teaching Assistant to become part of a successful, forward-thinking school community. As our school continues to grow, including the addition of an extra class from September, we are expanding our support team and are looking to appoint an additional Teaching Assistant, with the role available for the 2026–27 academic year in the first instance.
