We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant Level 4 - Wellbeing Assistant to join our fantastic team at MEA Central
This is a Grade 5, permanent post working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is £24,223 and the full time equivalent is £28,163.
We’re looking for:
A suitably qualified Teaching Assistant who is able to support pupils whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs. The successful candidate will coordinate counselling and will support individual or small groups of students with various needs to access interventions to support their wellbeing. The ability to develop productive working relationships with pupils, families and the wider school community will be essential.
Main purpose of the job:
- To complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning programmes and support to individual pupils, small groups and on a short-term basis to whole classes.
- Responsibility for the management and development of a specialist area in school or across a department, and or leading and deploying teaching assistants in addressing the needs of pupils who require help to overcome barriers to learning.
