What skills and experience we're looking for

As an Academy within the Mulberry Schools Trust, we are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) at Mulberry Silverdale Primary.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school, working as part of a dedicated and passionate team. The role involves supporting pupils to access learning, develop independence and achieve their full potential within a nurturing and ambitious environment where every child is enabled to thrive, belong and flourish.

We are looking for a person who: • Has experience of working with children in an educational setting
• Has experience of, or a strong understanding of, supporting pupils with SEND or additional needs
• Is committed to inclusive practice and high expectations for all learners
• Will support pupils to access learning through adaptive approaches and appropriate scaffolding
• Will work effectively with teachers, the SENDCo and wider staff to deliver high-quality support
• Will implement strategies and interventions outlined in EHCPs, Individual Support Plans and provision maps
• Will promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and social development
• Will build strong, positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
• Will contribute to monitoring and recording pupil progress and engagement
• Will support the wider ethos of the school as part of a collaborative team
