Teaching Assistant in the Margaret Coats Centre (MCC)

Permanent - Term time only plus 1 additional INSET day

Grade 3 SCP 5 - FTE £25,583

Actual Salary - £18,932

32.5 hours

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, caring and enthusiastic professional to join our experienced and supportive team, starting as soon as possible. 

You will need to be:

a patient, resilient and motivated individual

experienced in working with children who are significantly below age related expectations and display emotional difficulties

an excellent communicator to establish positive home/school relationships

passionate about promoting learning and achievement for all

proficient in literacy and numeracy

able to work effectively as part of a team and share our Vision

Main responsibilities will include.  

work with the children under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCo

support the pupil with their additional needs whilst implementing planned learning activities/programmes as agreed with the class teacher

show initiative and flexibility

build effective relationships with children, parents and colleagues

manage the pupils in 1:1 and group scenarios in a positive and calm way so they achieve the highest standards in their learning

To Confidently navigate IT suites and cloud-based software.

 Experience of working in an education setting is essential.
