Teaching Assistant Vacancy

The Local Governing Committee of the Rosary Catholic Primary School are currently seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a ‘needs basis’ which may include being classroom based as well as supporting a pupil with special educational needs, from 3rd November 2025 or a soon a possible thereafter. The post is temporary until 31st August 2026 in the first instance, linked to an EHC Plan for the child.

The role will include supporting the child on a 1:1 basis, within a small group and in whole class situations. We welcome applications from people who are committed to making a difference to children's education, can work as part of a team and also use their own initiative. A willingness to support the Catholic ethos of the school is essential. The successful candidate will ideally hold a relevant Level 3 qualification, i.e. NVQ or equivalent or be enrolled on a course that provides this qualification.

15 hours per week Term time plus training

Grade 3 Point 4 (Approx £8807) - Grade 5 Point 11 (Approx £9872)

Pay grade dependant on experience
