What skills and experience we're looking for
Underwood West Academy is looking for a talented, enthusiastic and friendly teaching assistant to join our dedicated and supportive team.
Underwood West is a popular and welcoming primary school. We have recently had our Ofsted inspection and were graded as Good in all areas and Outstanding in Personal Development. We are proud to have maintained this through 2 inspections and of the recognition from the inspectors regarding the educational journey our children receive.
The successful candidate will become part of our inclusive school where we promote positive attitudes, good behaviour and moral understanding. All children are nurtured to establish a sense of pride and achievement in learning and being part of our school community whilst becoming happy, confident and resilient learners, each supported to reach their unique potential in a safe environment. In the first instance, you will work within our small group of SEN children.
We are looking for a strong candidate wishing to join us a teaching assistant. You will be working with a supportive, experienced Teaching team.
- The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual that holds GCSE Grade 4 or above in both English and Math’s.
The successful candidate will have proven experience and passion for supporting children with SEN

Key responsibilities:
Working under the guidance of the teacher as part of the class based role, the successful post-holder will be responsible for key responsibilities as described in the Job Description provided.
