We're not just any school. Our recent "Good" Ofsted rating (September 2024) reflects our unwavering commitment to providing an outstanding education for every child. As part of the renowned Outwood Family since 2022, we offer a welcoming environment where students are at the centre of everything we do. This dynamic role involves assisting across multiple lessons and subjects, while also supporting student health, safety, and wellbeing by monitoring movement around the academy. This includes overseeing transitions and emergency procedures while maintaining an appropriate distance to encourage student independence. Furthermore, you will be responsible for monitoring and recording progress and responses to learning through agreed systems, sharing any concerns with the SEND team as required.
We are looking for someone who brings a genuine enthusiasm for working with children and young people, supported by solid foundational skills evidenced by Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (or equivalent) and a relevant Level 3 qualification relating to working with children and young people. You will need confident IT skills to navigate diverse environments and support the use of specialist learning tools, alongside exceptional communication skills that enable you to build positive relationships with both students and staff. A warm, approachable manner and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role.
