What skills and experience we're looking for
Hermitage Primary School is looking to appoint a highly motivated, talented teacher to join our team of teaching staff from 01 September 2024. This is a full time, maternity cover, in Key Stage 2. The post is for a temporary role to cover maternity leave and is expected to last a year (or when post holder returns, whichever is sooner).
The successful candidate will be a practitioner who demonstrates high expectations and the ability to engage all learners. They will have good team skills, flexibility and a sense of humour. Candidates should indicate their relevant experience, skills and interests in their letter of application and link these to the Person Specification.
Hermitage is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undertake all relevant safeguarding and safer recruitment checks including enhanced DBS check, online checks and checks with past employers. All posts involving direct contact with children are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.The successful applicant will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS certificate. As the post will involve regulated activity with children, it is a criminal offence to apply for this post if you are included on the children’s barred list held by the DBS.
