Tuition Service Teacher with Maths/Science Specialism job summary

A unique opportunity to teach individuals/small groups and make a difference Tuition Service Teacher with Maths/Science Specialism (casual hours or 1 year fixed term contract) MPS/UPS Start date: 2nd November 2021 Would you like more time to build relationships with your students, teaching individuals and small groups, but still be able to teach students with the potential to achieve high grades at GCSE? We can offer you the opportunity to focus on a small number of students and transform their experience of education. We understand that teachers may be apprehensive about teaching in an alternative provision and we would encourage you to watch our video (on the home screen) as these will give you an insight into our students, their views, and the difference you could make to them. You would also be supported by a formal induction process and training opportunities. Despite our small size we are committed to offering a broad and balanced curriculum which currently includes 18 GCSE subjects to allow students a huge choice and develops their interests. Supporting our students in developing positive relationships, self-confidence, resilience, and creativity is crucial to our ethos and is not measured solely by our academic results but by the views of our past and present students. The post holder needs to have a specialism in Maths and/or Science and be able to teach across the KS3 and KS4 curriculum, predominantly in a 1:1 setting in students’ homes. This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. All new staff will be required to undertake a DBS check and carry out safeguarding training. Should you have any queries please contact stsam@maldenoaks.rbksch.org Your application should summarise how you meet the requirements of the attached person specification and how your skills and experience would enable you to fulfil the attached job description. Please submit your application form to: stld@maldenoaks.rbksch.org Closing Date: 11.59pm Sunday 24th October Interviews: Week beginning 25th October (half term)
