We plan an active curriculum that aims to be vibrant, challenging and creative with clear skills progression for learning. The school is at the heart of the village of Glinton, just north of Peterborough. Our core Christian values are at the core of everything we do. They have been written in consultation with our local incumbent, staff, pupils and parents. They are embedded in our curriculum and underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.

At Peakirk, we embrace the fact that every child is different and therefore, the educational needs of every child are different. We believe that every child is a precious and unique gift from God. Our inclusive approach to SEND is rooted in our Christian values of Compassion Respect, Trust, Friendship, Peace and Harmony and Forgiveness. We are committed to ensuring that all children, regardless of their individual needs or abilities, feel welcomed, supported and celebrated within our community. We work in partnership with families, professionals, and the wider community to provide a nurturing environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. The ideal candidate will therefore support and uphold these expectations and standards.

  • Creating a welcoming, nurturing environment that promotes wellbeing
  • Supporting children’s social and emotional development
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality care
  • Adapting your approach to meet the needs of children aged 3 to 11

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Has experience working with primary-aged children (desirable, not essential)
  • Is passionate about inclusion, wellbeing, and child development
  • Brings flexibility, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude
  • Communicates well and thrives in a team setting
  • Can adapt quickly to different situations and age groups

In return, we can offer you:

  • A welcoming and caring school, that encourages everyone to give their best at all times, that aims to contribute all they can to our life as a school community
  • A collaborative and supportive school community that is underpinned by the Christian ethos, driven by a shared passion of children’s welfare and education
  • A rewarding and exciting working environment, that inspires and challenges within a supportive and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Access to a vast array of employee benefits and recognition systems, via our brand-new partnership with Vivup
