About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and caring individual to support the delivery of our new wraparound care provision from September/October 2026.
Working alongside the Wraparound Care Leader, you will help provide a safe, enjoyable and engaging environment for children after school.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with setting up and preparing activities.
- Support children in a range of play and enrichment activities.
- Promote positive behaviour and positive relationships.
- Prepare and serve light snacks and refreshments.
- Ensure children's safety and wellbeing throughout the session.
- Communicate any concerns to the Wraparound Care Leader and senior leaders.
- Assist with tidying, cleaning and storing equipment at the end of each session.
Essential Requirements
- Enjoy working with children.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow school policies and procedures.
- Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
Desirable
- Experience of working with primary-aged children.
- First Aid qualification.
- Food Hygiene qualification.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Wraparound Care Assistant
Grade 4 Hours: 3.15pm–5:45pm, Monday to Friday, term time only (12½ hours per week) Responsible to: Wraparound Care Leader and Headteacher
Job Purpose
To support the delivery of wraparound provision, providing a safe, caring and enjoyable environment in which children can participate in a range of play and enrichment activities.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare and Supervision
- Supervise and support pupils attending the provision.
- Build positive relationships with children and encourage participation in activities.
- Promote positive behaviour and uphold school expectations.
- Ensure children remain safe and well supervised at all times.
Activities and Provision
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of activities, games and enrichment opportunities.
- Support children in accessing activities and developing friendships.
- Help organise resources and maintain the provision area.
Food Preparation and Hygiene
- Assist with the preparation and serving of light snacks and refreshments.
- Follow hygiene and food safety procedures.
- Support the cleaning and tidying of the provision at the end of each session.
Communication
- Report any concerns, accidents or incidents to the Wraparound Care Leader.
- Work constructively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the club.
General
- Follow all school policies and procedures.
- Attend relevant training and meetings as required.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post.
