What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint an innovative and highly effective Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion who will lead, develop and manage an excellent standard of provision for learners with SEND, ensuring that attainment and achievement are high and that SEND students make accelerated and sustained progress.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is a motivational, aspirational leader;
  • is able to use coaching and mentoring to support and develop others;
  • has the ability to ensure that all our children achieve their full potential;
  • is determined, resilient and has high expectations of themselves and others;
  • is a great teacher with a proven track record of raising pupil attainment;
  • is flexible, has a good sense of humour and has an understanding of the ‘bigger picture’;
  • has the ability to work positively with children, parents and other stakeholders;
  • is committed to inclusion and to providing exciting learning opportunities for children of all abilities;
  • has already, or has the willingness to gain, the NPQ SENDCO qualification.
