What skills and experience we're looking for
Oakfield Primary Academy is seeking an experienced school administrator to join our team in the role of Attendance Officer. We are part of The Golden Thread Alliance, a thriving, vibrant and inclusive Multi Academy Trust in the North Kent area.
- 39.5 hours per week, term time only + 1 weeks
- Kent Range 6 -£23,801 FTE Per Annum, Pro Rata to £22,050.48
The roleincludes responsibility for providing administrative and organisational services to the school associated with the recording, management and monitoring of whole school attendance, analysing data to identify key areas of concern. Building close working relationships with pupils and families to improve attendance rates. Addressing issues with persistent absence is a key aspect of this role.
You will work as part of a small friendly office team, reporting in to the School Business Manager. Peer support is provided through other Attendance Officers across the Trust, and external networking to promote knowledge and the development of school procedures is encouraged. This is a varied and rewarding role which would suit a well organised, flexible person with an aptitude for hard work, creativity, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Communication is key and demonstrating an ability to form positive and long-lasting relationships with parents and carers is essential to the role, however challenging or demanding this can be at times.

Oakfield Primary Academy is situated on the borders of Dartford and Bexley, serving Dartford and Wilmington.
Judged by Ofsted in 2014 as a GOOD school, we are working hard to provide the best possible experiences for all children.
We are a large school with three forms of entry, and with a nursery on site too, we have capacity for 758 children. A new build has very recently been completed in order to give us a brand new hall and extra five classrooms.
We are part of The Galaxy Trust which is the successful partnership between Oakfield Primary Academy, Temple Hill Primary Academy and West Hill Primary Academy.
