What skills and experience we're looking for

The Castle School requires a Behaviour and Inclusion Assistant with strong relationships, good boundaries, high expectations and a positive attitude to support students to complete sanctions.

You will manage the day-to-day operation of the Behaviour Room, ensuring a calm, structured environment where students reflect on their behaviour, continue their learning, and are supported to successfully reintegrate into lessons. Our view of ‘sanction the behaviour, support the student’ means that some proactive and reflective work is beneficial to reduce the chances of repeat negative behaviours.

The post holder plays a key role in promoting high standards of behaviour, supporting staff, and contributing to a positive school culture.

The Blackdown Education Partnership is a multi-academy trust (MAT) working across Devon and Somerset. It was born of a merger between two established MATs: The Castle Partnership Trust and Uffculme Academy Trust and currently looks after a family of 12 schools: 6 primary and 6 secondary and 4 nurseries.

Blackdown Education Partnership is, therefore, a single organisation established to deliver the education and to safeguard the wellbeing of every child in our Trust. The Trust seeks to ensure that high quality collaboration and system leadership continue to improve the education in our schools. We are responsible for the good governance of the schools within our Trust and are accountable for the performance of each school. We work with an exceptional team of leaders, teachers and support staff whose combined efforts deliver on our promise to believe in every child.

We can offer you: An opportunity to work in an experienced and supportive team from whom you can learn, develop and grow. A friendly, busy and dynamic workplace where each day is different from the last. A competitive salary. Wider opportunities to be involved across our Trust.
