Following a Good Ofsted (November 2021), we are looking for a dedicated and inspirational Deputy Head to cover maternity leave for two days per week, starting in January 2023. This person will have the talent and drive this key role requires, an awareness of how education is evolving and a determination to embed whole-school improvement. This role would provide additional valuable leadership experience for someone keen to take the next step in their professional career and could be a potential secondment opportunity, running in parallel with 3 days in an existing position.

The successful applicant will need to evidence:

  • Passion for providing a broad and inclusive curriculum, inspiring all children with a lifelong enthusiasm for learning
  • Interest in current educational thinking and experience of leading significant and successful whole school improvement/change
  • Solid work ethic and the ability to work as part of a committed team, supporting, motivating and inspiring colleagues
  • Clear understanding of assessment of attainment and progress, coupled with consistently strong teaching leading to good progress for all pupils
  • Strong commitment to the school’s values and moral purpose, maintaining a visible and respected presence across and beyond the school community
  • Experience of successful whole school leadership.
