What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a high-achiever with vision to take our school forward.

You will:

  • Take responsibility for the safe, compliant and effective running of the site
  • Lead on health and safety, statutory compliance and planned maintenance
  • Support the day-to-day operation of the school, including security, upkeep and site readiness
  • Carry out and coordinate maintenance, repairs and improvements
  • Manage contractors and external partners
  • Seek practical, cost-effective solutions to improve the site
  • Take ownership of the site as a space to be developed, not simply maintained

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Organised and dependable
  • Proactive, with strong initiative
  • Practical and hands-on, with good problem-solving skills
  • Resourceful and cost-conscious
  • Able to see the bigger picture as well as the detail

This role would suit someone with experience in site or facilities management, but we also welcome applicants with transferable skills and a genuine interest in developing in this area.

What the school offers its staff

Our school sits within a listed building of architectural significance, designed by the architects behind the Barbican, Chamberlin, Powell and Bon, alongside a richly developed outdoor environment including forest school provision, chickens, gardens, a treehouse and extensive outdoor learning spaces. It is a site that is used, loved and continually evolving.

We offer:

  • A varied role with scope and independence
  • The opportunity to shape a unique and ambitious site
  • A supportive and collaborative staff team
  • A role that can grow with the right candidate

This is a chance to be part of something bigger than a job description, and to leave a lasting mark on our school environment.
