What skills and experience we're looking for

The person appointed will:

  • have a passion for teaching Geography
  • have experience in a school setting
  • be knowledgeable about the Geography curriculum

What the school offers its staff

It is an exciting time to join Bridlington School as we continue to strengthen relationships with other local Education providers including nearby Secondary Schools and Primary Feeders. This provides opportunity to be involved in transition and outreach work, but also connections with peers across the local area.

The level of experience within the department makes this an ideal opportunity for someone at the start of their career and looking to gain their qualification. Equally, you can join an experienced team of like-minded colleagues, keen to develop the curriculum and build on success.

Staff well-being is a genuine priority at Bridlington School with support available via the Employee Assistance Programme to all employees and various initiatives in place to promote morale and a positive culture. There has been a genuine and sustained focus on reducing workload, particularly in relation to marking and feedback.

Commitment to safeguarding

Appointment is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. East Riding of Yorkshire Council is pursuing equality of opportunity in employment and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
