About Withernsea High School
At Withernsea High School, we are proud to be at the heart of our community. Our school serves the families of Withernsea and the surrounding Holderness villages, and the relationships we build with students, parents and carers are central to everything we do.
We are a school where people matter. We want every student to feel known, valued and supported, and we believe the same should be true for every member of staff.
Our values of Be Ambitious, Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Kind are more than just words on a wall. They shape the way we learn together, work together and care for one another every day.
As a smaller secondary school, we benefit from a strong sense of belonging. Staff know their students well, colleagues support one another, and everyone plays an important role in helping our young people succeed. We are ambitious for every student and committed to helping them develop the confidence, character and resilience they need to thrive both in school and beyond.
We are equally committed to our staff. Whether you are at the beginning of your teaching career or looking for your next leadership opportunity, you will find a welcoming and supportive environment where professional development is encouraged, achievements are recognised and wellbeing matters.
Located on the beautiful East Yorkshire coast, Withernsea High School offers the best of both worlds: the close-knit feel of a rural community alongside easy access to Hull and the wider region. The area offers a wonderful quality of life, with coastal walks, open countryside and affordable housing all within easy reach.
Following a major rebuild and refurbishment, our school benefits from modern, spacious facilities and well-equipped learning environments that support excellent teaching and learning.
We know that choosing your next school is an important decision. If you are looking for a school where relationships are valued, where staff genuinely support one another and where you can make a real difference to the lives of young people, we would be delighted to hear from you.
