What skills and experience we're looking for

The Board of Trustees of SHINE, in partnership with Ranskill Primary School’s Local Governing Body, are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, ambitious and Head of School to work in partnership with the Executive Headteacher to lead this brilliant school on its ongoing journey of school Improvement.

We are looking for a leader with a proven track record of improving and maintaining high standards of achievement. The successful applicant will be someone of outstanding ability, vision and potential, who would welcome the opportunity to prove themselves in the context of this school. Please be aware this role will also have a teaching commitment. This person will also be committed to being part of the leadership of a primary multi academy trust and the broader leadership, learning and experience this offers. In this context, the successful candidate will have access to relevant continued professional development, but also the chance to work with other highly capable and motivated leaders – both within Ranskill and throughout SHINE.

The school achieved a very successful Ofsted in early 2025 and as a result the Trust are seeking to appoint a leader who can work alongside an ambitious and forward-looking staff team and governing body to help continue the school on its journey.
