'Loving to Learn, learning to Love' is the motto of our school, and the “Pupils told the inspector that the school’s motto, ‘Loving to learn, learning to love’, is certainly true.” (Ofsted April 2012 and reinforced in the short inspection of 2016), We believe that every child that attends Harting C of E Primary School should have access to a high quality educational experience, to enable them to fulfil their potential, in a secure and safe environment.

Harting is a small, rural and community orientated school and has great staff, eager children, supportive parents/carers and governors. As a church school it has close ties with both the churches within the village and with the completion of the Roundhouse and its Forest School involvement with the National Trust has excellent outdoor learning facilities. The school is on track to form a hard federation with Stedham School at the start of the 2021-22 academic year with a model that retains both Heads, all staff and operate with separate budgets under a single Governing Board.
