About the Role:We are looking for a highly organised, professional and welcoming Administrative Assistant to join our office team. This role is central to the smooth day-to-day running of the school, providing high-quality administrative support across a wide range of clerical, financial and organisational tasks.
You will often be the first point of contact for families, visitors and staff, so a friendly, calm and professional manner is essential. The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, handle confidential information with discretion and work efficiently within established systems and processes.
Working closely with the School Business Manager and wider team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school operates effectively, supporting both staff and children behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality administrative support across the school, following established systems and processes
- Manage and maintain accurate records, including pupil, staffing and financial information
- Undertake financial procedures such as processing orders, monitoring budgets and reconciling accounts
- Produce reports and manage data accurately using a range of IT systems
- Act as a professional and welcoming first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies
- Maintain confidentiality at all times and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed
- Support the wider office team and contribute to the efficient running of the school
- Has a good standard of literacy and numeracy and relevant administrative experience
- Is highly organised, efficient and able to manage a varied workload
- Has strong IT skills and confidence working with data and management systems
- Demonstrates professionalism, discretion and integrity when handling sensitive information
- Communicates effectively with a wide range of people
- Is flexible, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team
