What skills and experience we're looking for

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Good presentation skills

The ability to motivate and inspire others

The ability to relate well to both children and adults

The ability to liaise with parents and other agencies

The ability to collaborate with a highly motivated and empowered team of staff and governors

The ability to deal sensitively with other people and resolve conflict

A confident decision maker

The ability to learn quickly and to be adaptable

A high level of ICT skills

Qualified teacher with at least three years recent experience

Recent relevant in-service training in current educational practices

Commitment to own and further professional development

Experience of teaching in either EYFS, KS1 or KS2

Evidence of further professional training/development

Experience of teaching across the whole primary age range

Excellent knowledge of the curriculum, including

recent developments

Experience of successful leadership and management of the curriculum to achieve excellent standards of attainment and achievement

Practical working knowledge and application of ICT for curriculum organisation and management

A thorough understanding of how children learn

A clear understanding and empathy for the use of positive behaviour management strategies

Experience of leading whole school initiatives

An excellent record of attendance

A sense of humour

A positive approach to the management of change

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

A commitment to the caring ethos of the school

A commitment to involving and promoting community partnership and extended schools activities .Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines

High personal and professional standards and to act as a role model for others
