An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and strategic School Business Manager to join our team at Heath Primary School.
This is a senior leadership role, working as part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), with responsibility for leading and developing all business, financial, and operational functions across the school.
You will play a key role in ensuring that resources, systems, and services are efficient, compliant, and fully aligned to support school improvement and the best possible outcomes for our children.
The role includes day-to-day management of a team of three support staff, ensuring high standards, clear accountability, and strong operational delivery.

You will lead on:
- Strategic financial planning, budgeting, and resource management
- Operational leadership across administration, estates, and support services
- Development of efficient, compliant systems and processes
- Procurement, contract management, and value for money
- Compliance, risk management, and statutory requirements
- Has proven experience in financial and operational leadership
- Is confident operating at a strategic level
- Can lead, develop, and manage a team
- Has strong organisational skills and a focus on continuous improvement
- Understands the importance of compliance, risk, and governance
- Is proactive, resilient, and solutions-focused
- Is committed to working collaboratively with the whole school community
- Understands how effective business management supports teaching and learning
