You will work closely with colleagues, parents, and senior management to cultivate a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment where every pupil feels valued, heard, and supported. You will be at the forefront of championing our most vulnerable learners, including Young Carers, Looked After Children (LAC) and others, helping them navigate and overcome unique barriers to education.

A strong administrative background is crucial for the completion of forms, official documents and accurate record keeping.
As part of this role, you will:
- Act as an inspiring adult role model, strictly promoting and protecting the safety and well-being of all pupils in line with school and trust policies.
- Identify, plan, and deliver targeted, high-quality support strategies that empower vulnerable pupils to overcome barriers and reach their full academic and personal potential.
- Develop and facilitate impactful individual and small-group mentoring programmes designed to help pupils modify their behaviour and build vital life skills.
- Supervise pupils across the school, using proven de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations calmly and maintain a secure, positive atmosphere.
- Establish and foster effective, professional links with external agencies, parents, and school leaders to ensure a cohesive network of support for our pupils.
You will be someone who:
- NVQ Level 3 Learning Development and Support Services or equivalent or extensive relevant experience in a similar or related post.
- Promote and safeguard the safety and welfare of students in accordance with trust-wide and school policies.
- You will be personable, approachable and a self-starter.

Worle Community School is currently part of The Priory Learning Trust, a group of like-minded schools whose shared ambition is to provide A Great Education for Every Child.
