The Role:
To work under the direction of the Senior Leadership Team to support play and learning acrossWrapround Care with our initial cohort of four year olds. The post holder will play a key role in supporting pupils’ play and wellbeing, contributing to a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
Supporting Pupils
Provide creative play and appropriate activities for children including pupils with additional needs, enabling access to play and promoting independence.
Support children’s learning and development in line with theEarly Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)and individual Support Plans.
Assist pupils in developing social, emotional, communication and self-care skills.
Support pupils with personal care where required, in line with school policies and training.
Promote positive behaviour and relationships, modelling high expectations at all times.
Supporting Play
Plan and resource creative and age-appropriate activities.
Adapt resources and approaches to meet a range of children’s needs.
Interact with and support pupils to access play based activities in a relaxing and comfortable environment.
Use specialist strategies and interventions as directed by teachers or therapists.
Supporting the Learning Environment
Help to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
Support the organisation of learning spaces, resources and displays.
Assist with transitions at the beginning and end of the school day.
Working as Part of a Team
Be a positive, reliable and professional team member, working collaboratively within school.
Demonstrate flexibility, responding positively to change as the school grows and develops.
Communicate effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents.
Participate in staff meetings, training and professional development opportunities, where appropriate.
Safeguarding and Welfare
Maintain a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
