Class Teacher job summary

‘A Safe Place to Grow’

The Governing Board of Bamford Primary School is pleased to invite applications for the role of Class Teacher, responsible for a small mixed aged class of Year 3 / Year 4 pupils. Applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed.

We can offer a stimulating and friendly working environment, where your career development will be carefully supported by an experienced mentor. As a class teacher, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of your class and providing a welcoming learning environment for all your pupils to succeed with their learning. We work closely in partnership with our children, parents and our local cluster of schools. Please visit our website to gain a better feel for our school and for more information about our ethos.

We are seeking a ‘people person’ who likes interaction with others but who can equally work independently and manage a demanding work schedule. You will be expected to get involved in the wider life of the school and to help us provide an exciting and varied curriculum offer.

If you think that you might be our next ‘team member’ – you are invited to contact the office to arrange a visit or an informal discussion about the role. You can also read our most recent Ofsted Report published in April 2022. We are located in the heart of the Peak District National Park – with easy access from, Sheffield, Manchester, The High Peak and Derbyshire Dales. Due to limited public transport, a car would be easier but is not essential.

Most importantly, we are looking for a team player with a great sense of humour, a ‘can do attitude’ and a big warm coat! It goes without saying that you must enjoy working with children.
If you would like further information, please don’t hesitate to make an informal enquiry to the headteacher via headteacher@bamford.derbyshire.sch. Visits to the school are welcome by appointment.

Bamford Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
