What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills to join our Senior Leadership Team as Deputy Headteacher. The role involves three days teaching, and two days out of class which include a PPA session and leadership time. Teaching responsibility will initially be for a mixed year three and year four class, merged this year due to the number of pupils we currently have in our year three cohort. Furthermore, you will lead Key Stage 2 and will oversee the curriculum for the whole school, monitoring it and overseeing the continuing implementation and embedding of the CUSP scheme to which the school has recently committed.
Our new Deputy Headteacher will relish the challenges and rewards that such a position offers
and will be a visionary, pupil-centred individual who has the ability to lead by example. You will
either already be a Deputy Headteacher, Assistant Headteacher or member of a Senior
Leadership Team, looking to progress to the next step on your career ladder. You will share our
commitment to high standards and will have the ability and ambition to help lead the school in
the next stage of its development.
