Previous cleaning experience (in any setting)

Able to work well as part of a team

Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment

Takes pride in maintaining a clean and tidy environment

Experience of working in a school or similar environment

Trustworthy and understands the importance of confidentiality

Understanding of health and safety and hygiene standards

Willing to follow instructions and training

Basic understanding of safeguarding (training provided)

Committed to keeping children safe and following school safeguarding policies

Punctual and able to manage time well

We are looking for two reliable, hardworking and friendly Cleaners to join our Facilities Team from September 2026. This is a great opportunity to play a vital role behind the scenes, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness across our school site.

Your role will involve cleaning classrooms, shared spaces and staff areas after the school day – making sure everything is clean, safe and ready for the next day.

  • Hours: 1 hour 45 minutes per day (3.15pm – 5pm)
  • Days: Monday to Friday – all year round
  • Location: Ordsall Primary School
