- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to leadership
School Leadership and Management Experience
- Experience of holding responsibility within a primary school or clear readiness to take the next step into leadership
- Experience of leading, or contributing to the leadership of, a key stage, phase or area of responsibility
- Ability to support, challenge and motivate colleagues effectively
- Experience of monitoring standards in teaching and learning
- Experience of contributing to school improvement initiatives and raising standards
- Ability to work collaboratively and professionally as part of a leadership or extended leadership team
- Ability to contribute positively and professionally as a member of the Senior Leadership Team
- Awareness of current national priorities in primary education
- To have successfully led whole school initiatives which have embedded and secured positive outcomes
- Evidence of direct involvement in whole school self- evaluation and school improvement strategies
- Experience of line management of staff
Knowledge & Experience of teaching
- Proven excellence in classroom practice within the primary phase
- Secure and up-to-date knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
- Secure understanding of assessment, moderation and the use of data to inform teaching and intervention
- Ability to model high-quality teaching and support colleagues to improve practice
- Commitment to evidence-informed approaches to teaching and learning
- A commitment to addressing equality and diversity positively, sensitively and appropriately.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding and ambitious practitioner to take on a rewarding leadership role within a thriving and inclusive school. The successful candidate will lead Key Stage 1 as a member of the senior leadership team, shaping early learning, supporting colleagues and securing high-quality provision and outcomes for all pupils, while continuing to make a real difference through their own classroom practice.

This post would be particularly well suited to an existing middle leader, or to an ambitious teacher ready to take the next step in their leadership journey, within a supportive environment that values professional development, coaching and collaboration
